These are daily news-reported global trends that are relatively easy to grasp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beneath the surface, however, lies another crucial current. It is a global trend that drives societal development, one whose contours only become visible through sufficient understanding\u2014a trend that could be termed the \u201cglobal trend of knowledge.\u201d Currently, the rapid advancement of critical and emerging technologies (CETs) such as AI, quantum technology, IoT, and semiconductors is driving a global trend accompanied by shifts in new knowledge systems, institutions, and industrial structures. While this trend is not immediately visible like military or diplomatic affairs, it possesses the power to steadily and fundamentally transform the foundations of society from beneath the surface\u2014affecting national strategy, corporate competitiveness, research methodologies, and even how people work and live. This is why some experts refer to it as the \u201cgeopoliticalization of technology.\u201dWe have now entered an era where the development of CETs profoundly impacts the future of nations and societies.\u3000It is crucial for us to understand this \u201cglobal intellectual current,\u201d which remains largely unseen on the surface.
